As the family member of a fallen soldier I have never experienced so many emotions at once as the day we honored Jims son, Sean Barton. It was amazingly beautiful and tremendously sad all at the same time. When Crystal Ann Marie Barton Leona Hakos Bix and Matthew Barton spoke there wasnt a dry eye in the house. But we also laughed and enjoyed the memories as well. We had no idea how much Sean had accomplished, how respected, well thought of and highly decorated he was until now. Last night Jim was presented the Meritorious Service Medal by one of the Generals who attended the service - Just when you thought you couldnt be prouder! I want to thank all our friends and family for the overwhelming show of support and love during this difficult time.
