As the holidays approach, we turn our attention to “all things festive”. On Saturday, November 16, 2013, two vital healthcare cornerstones – SOMAC and the Community Memorial Hospital Auxiliary will host the first “Share in the Care Gala” in the Hall of Presidents of the Colgate University Student Union. This “black-tie optional” event featuring dancing music by The Skycoasters will raise important funds to insure that our healthcare systems stay vibrant and fiscally sound and will bring the community together to celebrate. As part of this gala, we are offering a unique opportunity for our guests – a silent and live auction which will feature many wonderful items donated by our local businesses and entrepreneurs. Do you have a valuable item or package (ex. tickets to a Yankees game, a beautiful piece of artwork or photography) that you would like to donate to this important fund-raising event? If you are willing to help, please contact Patty Caprio at 228-7442, and she will send you a form that you can fill out and send back at your earliest convenience. Upon receipt of the form, we will send you a document which you can also fill out which details any restrictions on your gift and will help us prepare an opening bid. We will be happy to give you “gift-in-kind” credit if you present us with an appraisal for the item as well. We sincerely thank you for your consideration, thoughtfulness and generosity. We are hopeful that this event will be a wonderful time for the Hamilton community to participate in a magnificent gala which will also raise important dollars for our healthcare system.
