As the old saying goes the grass is always greener Im back in Sweden for the 6 th time in 18 mths I left East Ham in 1992 for north Sweden after meeting my ex wife in the west end outside the Astoria! I decided to move over there built a life had three beautiful daughters who we are both so blessed to have! After getting divorced we have remained friends as I said in my posts before its difficult sometimes but easy to make a sacrifice to the girls so they are Happy! Now they are getting older they have the choice and the world is Their oyster! Its hard as so many of my ex pat mates know its hard to leave your home country in you twenties then return home over twenty yrs later we all miss our kids but to see your family back home getting old and missing them is hard too! We have no ideal path to follow and so many couples split up these days its the norm! But you cant stay together for the sake of the kids! As I make the 10 hour journey up north all sorts of thoughts fill my head I have my feet and head and heart in two different lands as long as my girls are happy Im happy! lifes to short to live by regrets you could not be here at the blink of an eye! Sorry for this sombre post but thinking of all you parents out there in the same situation! We can only do our best in my 21 yrs living in Sweden and working for ten yrs in Denmark Ive had many ups and downs. Life goes on but I cant regret just cant live in Sweden anymore for several reasons. Have a nice afternoon! soon in Stockholm lunch and an expensive beer awaits lol :-) Over Land a sea :-)
