As we approach voting day, I think about our foremothers and how - TopicsExpress

As we approach voting day, I think about our foremothers and how they fought for suffrage for women. If it wasnt for women like Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Susan B. Anthony, Lucy Stone, and Alice Paul, women would not be able to vote on Tuesdays election or ever in the U.S.. However, our work is far from over. We have to get the Equal Rights Amendment passed, fight for equal pay, womens right to choose, for reproductive rights, fight to end the glass ceiling, to get more women in office (liberal women), fight to end violence against women, make disability rights part of the womens movement (to help end the double barriers that women and girls with disabilities face), to empower girls, and fight for womens human right everywhere. We also have to win the war on women. OUR FOREMOTHERS DIDNT GIVE UP AND NEITHER WILL WE.
