As we celebrate President Uhurus birthday, lets appreciate what he has,and what it will do to this country. President Uhuru brings in a totally new software to Kenyan Politics and leadership. This is a new software that has been lacking in Kenya for generations, and by the time his ten years will be over- Kenyans will surely thank the Lord that he gave us Uhuru as President at this moment in the countrys history. All through the years, I had come to the conclusion that all politicians, whether in Cord, Jubilee, Amani and the Civil Society in Kenya are loaded with some software called grabiosis. Truth be told Uhuru Kenyatta is very different, and seems to be loaded with a totally new software Due to the nature of my work, I interacted with the Young Turks when they were fighting the Evil Moi regime. At that time I was writing for the then leading Political Paper- the Weekly Review. When the young Turks assumed power in 2003- I was writing for the Sunday Standard, and was greatly shocked and disappointed to see the people that I had hoped to be leading the liberation of common Kenyans turning to be the most corrupt people- ten times worse than the Evil Moi regime. Key members of the Civil Society like Kiraitu and Kituyi became the faces of corruption. Though Kibaki, in person, was not involved in corrupt deals, he failed to contain his second wife who ran amok in generating corrupt deals. In 2005, the Sunday Standard did several stories of how businessmen and women were lining up in the Lavington offices of the second wife. In 2008, we all saw and witnessed what happened when Raila became PM. People like Orengo, Kajwang and Nyongo- who all along appeared to be champions of accountability turned out to be the worst thieves. They joined their Baba who by then had become a multi-billionaire since the started Co-operation. In 2010 we all celebrated when Civil Society Guru Dr Willy Mutunga took over as the Chief Justice. But, less than five years since he took over- the judiciary has been transformed into the most corrupt and disruptive element in the lives of Kenyans. Those that have been caught up in those traffic courts being mounted all over will attest that the magistrates are playing in the game with the police. Former Registrar of the Judiciary Gladys Shollei is not going down without a fight gladly exposing the rot being presided over by the the guru of the Civil Society Dr Mutunga. Then in 2013, Uhuru Kenyatta took power. In less than two years, President Uhuru has introduced something that was lacking in Kenyas leadership INTEGRITY. For the first time Kenya has a president that ameshiba before taking over power. You will not HEAR of cars lining up to see the First Lady to seek deals, as happened during the time of Kibaki. You will not HEAR of mega scandals involving someuntouchables. If you follow the narrative right now, you will see the opposition trying desperately to manufacture fake scandals- since there are no real scandals. They started with Reli, it failed, they recently tried to cook up some lies about some land in Karen- now they have all coiled their tails when told to present evidence. Truth is this, under Uhuru- you will NEVER hear of some Mega scandal- and if anyone tries- he or she will not go far. Instead of shadowy figures visiting the First Family looking for deals, we are seeing the United Nations coming in with awards. That is the product of a man who stands for INTEGRITY. At the end of ten years, we shall surely be thanking the Lord for giving us Uhuru as President.
