As we get older, we go through transitions to figure out what fits us best. To find where we feel comfortable. To find where we belong. In my career, I am blessed with living in a lot of different places. I get the chance to experience myself in different ways most people will never feel. But this move to LA has been, by far, the hardest transition I have experienced. Maybe its because the culture here is so different from my small town focus. Maybe its because my tolerance for certain types of people have changed. Maybe its because I miss that certain respect from people who have grown up around the mountains give each other. Or maybe its because my heart already knows where it belongs & its not here. Whatever the case, I will not waste this transition but rather embrace it. So that when the time comes to follow my heart back home, I will come back a changed soul. One that appreciates my surroundings even more.
