As we get ready to come to a close to 2014 at our Maple Leaf Childcare Centers, wed like to take this time to share the new programs that were started this year. First, we chose a new curriculum to help our teachers plan their classroom lesson plans. This program is Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold. Each of the teachers have been working hard to learn how this curriculum works, create lesson plans and parents have seen the progress in the activities their children do everyday. Next in our infant rooms, we have been busy creating container free environments for the children. Our Rotterdam center was the first to receive certification in the Freedom of Movement program. Last, our Pre-K rooms have started Handwriting Without Tears. The children are enjoying learning their letters and seeing the different ways they can build and write them. We look forward for all the fun and exciting things to come in 2015!
