As we mourn Phil Hughes it is important we turn our attention to the millions of grade cricketers around the world who play with little or no medical facilities at hand. In India for example theres hardly ever an ambulance for first class or Grade B or C cricket. Can the BCCI not use its billions to ensure there are basic medical facilities at all levels of cricket? Hughes should not remain with us merely as a tragic memory. Rather, his life is a lesson. We cant just let one of our own leave us like this.
