As you all know, Ive been in my own little world here with the residents and Eve. Ive just checked my Facebook and discovered that Victoria and South Australia are burning. Deepest condolences to all who have lost animal family or property and to those who have had to leave everything to fate. My thoughts are with the animals also. Wildlife, farmed animals trapped in paddocks with nowhere to go, companion animals lost or left behind. To everyone finding themselves in the path of the destruction, I wish you all luck. Please be safe. If any friends of Signal Hill can assist with temporary housing for animals of any kind, please get in touch with NARGA Disaster Response via Facebook (sorry, I cant tag). NARGA are doing their best to coordinate and organise whatever housing they can for peoples animals, from reptiles to herds of cattle and everyone in between. If youre safe and in the nearby area and can help, please do. Fire is one of my greatest fears for Signal Hill. Whats going on down there, I cant imagine. My heart goes out to everyone affected, human or non-human.
