Asha for Education is a non-profit organization, which supports the education of underprivileged children in India. The UIUC Chapter supports the education of more than 1000 children in four different projects in India. We host our first event, Sambar, a vegetarian Indian restaurant tomorrow, September 09th, between 6:00 pm and 8:30 pm at the Red Herring Restaurant, which is at the intersection of N. Mathews Ave. and W. Oregon St. All food items have been prepared by enthusiastic student volunteers. We are also celebrating Ganesha Chaturthi and Onam tomorrow, by the inclusion of sweets like besan laddoo, dry fruit halwa, mango lassi etc.! :) You can see the full menu attached!
