Ashley and I had really hoped that we would eventually pass 1000 likes on our page. I dont think that it is any accident that we surpassed this goal on this particular week. For those of you who dont know, a year ago today is the day that the beautiful Chris Burger left this world here on Earth to become an Angel in Heaven. She may not be here physically, but she lives on through the memories of those who knew and loved her. Not long after her passing is when Ashley and I decided to honor Chris by starting a foundation in Randolph County to raise money for Cancer. In March 2013, the Chris Burger Cancer Foundation was established and it is evident by the enormous amount of support and love our foundation has received, how many people loved and cared for Chris. She touched the lives of many people while she was alive, and now she will continue to do so through the work of a foundation that her family and friends helped to create and build. I am very grateful to have gotten the opportunity to know Chris and am so blessed to call her family my friends. I know we are all very excited about the foundation and all of the wonderful things we will be able to do to help others in honor of such a beautiful person.
