Aslan update: Todays vet appt. Unfortunately, I walked away without a copy of the blood work results, so cant give details. He had an exam, ultrasound, and blood profile done. He has a significantly enlarged prostate, but the vet believes that neuter will most likely resolve the prostate and blood in urine issues. He has a floppy, lower left pre molar and plaque which should be taken care of. Heart and lungs are good. He is so thin, under 10 lbs, Im doing anything to get him to eat. He wouldnt touch the food i feed my dogs, which is a great food (Darwins). Didnt like the good quality canned food or kibble I have either. Cant believe it, but I bought some Gravy Train (a first) and only got him to eat that by mashing hot dogs in it - gross! Then I offerred him a little cottage cheese and he liked that. After todays vet visit and assessing him in my home, it is worth it to move forward with Aslan. I am hoping to have him neutered through animal svcs asap, and dental needs to be done, hoping that can be done at time of neuter. Todays vet visit totalled $152.40: exam $45, blood work $80, day stay $9, amoxy $18.40. If anyone would like to chip in, that would be appreciated.
