Assalamu alaikum waramatul lahi taala wabarakatuhu. (May the blessings and peace of Allah be with you all). Good morning and good day to you all. My resolve to answer the clarion calls and agitations of the people is not to divide us or to pitch us against each other but to further unite and strengthen our cordial relationship as a people and as one entity with the resolve to pursue our CORE NEEDS collectively, democratically and above peacefully, irrespective of our differences and I alone can not do it. Also to be fear and objective to the incumbent member, he has tried his best but I think we deserve more and need fresh breath. That desire for more and fresh breath is what gave birth to my acceptance of the peoples clarion calls and agitation. I know the challenges are enormous and the road to achieving greatness for this constituency is rocky but together we shall surmount it. In sha Allahu. Yesterday I promised to make my manifesto available to you in due course, of course that due course starts today and the manifesto shall be in parts. As a House of Assembly Member, if elected, I shall do everything possible to work within the ambit of constitutional provision of a legislative member in ensuring that I use my good office to attract government projects and good policies that will be of great benefit to Lapai Constituency and the State at large. It is only through lobbying and playing the card rightly that such accrued benefits will come our way and of course as a one-time Councilor and one time Caretaker Chairman of Lapai Local Government Council who already knows what it takes to attract Government’s attention I shall work towards that and surely together we will do that . Furthermore, as a legislative member if elected, I shall always support and sponsor law(s) that will have the interest of Nigerlites and to always check the activities and excesses of the Government in whatever it does according to the provisions of the constitution and lots more. As a legislative member, if given the mandate, i dwell on what i tagged OUR FIVE REALISTIC CORE NEEDS like i said earlier, my manifesto shall come in parts. The essence of this blueprint is for me to have a clear focus and guide as I carry out my official responsibility and for you also to assess me after the successful completion of my tenure in office if given the mandate. In sha Allahu. THE FIVE REALISTIC CORE NEEDS 1. YOUTHS EMPOWERMENT/ EMPLOYMENT 2. EDUCATION 3. SCHOLARSHIP 4. HEALTHCARE 5. SPORTS PART I YOUTH EMPOWERMENT/EMPLOYMENT. The reward of a youth empowerment approach in high-poverty communities is significant. There has not been a better time to invest in youth empowerment than now because youth are the leaders of tomorrow and if appropriate opportunities are made available to put their natural endowment to creative and productive channels they are indeed capable of working wonders. Today it is globally realized that youth empowerment determines the strength and prosperity of any nation. Therefore we can say that youth empowerment is a panacea for national development especially for the developing countries, states and communities like ours where youth constitute overwhelming majority of the overall population. Therefore if we focus on youth development and empowerment it will lead us towards long term prosperity. Any state or community which invests heavily in their youth gets high return on its investment in due course. I therefore wish to pledge my commitment to youth development and empowerment if elected. I shall liaise with NGOs, Government parastatals, foreign donors to train our teeming youth in different areas of skills acquisition, capacity training, entrepreneurship on poultry and fish farming as well as formal and informal scholarships. I also intend to take advantage of communication network in Lapai and of recent in Azza land. In taking this advantage, I intend to train our youth on GSM repairs and accessories, computer trainings and maintenance. Having acquired these skills by the youth, I intend to liaise and work out modalities to beneficiaries to access seed capital from commercial banks operating within the Local Government Area to start up their businesses. The end results of this investment are: 1. The trained youth will be self employed, 2. more jobs shall be created for our teeming youth, 3. it will add to the economy base of the Lapai Constituency, 4. it will attract more investors to come and establish businesses and 5. it will discourage rural-urban migration. All these I intend to achieve under youth empowerment/ employment within the four- year tenure if given the mandate to represent you at the State House of Assembly, and of course you know I cant achieve this alone without your support and cooperation even if given the mandate. In Shaa Allahu. To be continued... Long live Lapai Constituency ! Long live Niger State!! Long live Federal Republic Of Nigeria!!! One Love...
