Assalamu alaikum wrmtwbrk Alhamdulil lah ,it a new blessed day we are given by His grace . Today lez brief on Islamic will:: Narrated Abdullah bin Umar: Allahs Apostle said, It is not permissible for any Muslim who has something to will to stay for two nights without having his last will and testament written and kept ready with him. (As a muslim, we should alwaz have it in mind that death can come to us at anytime. When you wake up in the morning never think of getting to noon, when it noon never think of evening. Alwaz remember death ,it strengthen your faith and takes you afar from commitin or disobeying Allah) Narrated Amr bin Al-Harith: (The brother of the wife of Allahs Apostle. Juwaira bint Al-Harith) When Allahs Apostle died, he did not leave any Dirham or Dinar (i.e. money), a slave or a slave woman or anything else except his white mule, his arms and a piece of land which he had given in charity . ( one can will his wealth and properties to help islam ,i.e all in charity before or after his or her death) Narrated Talha bin Musarrif: I asked Abdullah bin Abu Aufa Did the Prophet make a will? He replied, No, I asked him, How is it then that the making of a will has been enjoined on people, (or that they are ordered to make a will)? He replied, The Prophet bequeathed Allahs Book (i.e. Quran). Narrated Sad bin Abu Waqqas: The Prophet came visiting me while I was (sick) in Mecca, (Amir the sub-narrator said, and he disliked to die in the land, whence he had already migrated). He (i.e. the Prophet) said, May Allah bestow His Mercy on Ibn Afra (Sad bin Khaula). I said, O Allahs Apostle! May I will all my property (in charity)? He said, No. I said, Then may I will half of it? He said, No. I said, One third? He said: Yes, one third, yet even one third is too much. It is better for you to leave your inheritors wealthy than to leave them poor begging others, and whatever you spend for Allahs sake will be considered as a charitable deed even the handful of food you put in your wifes mouth. Allah may lengthen your age so that some people may benefit by you, and some others be harmed by you. At that time Sad had only one daughter. (To will all your property to Islam charity when you have inheritors in islam is not allowed ,one-third of your property to the development of Islam is lawful if you wish to ) Narrated Ibn Abbas: I recommend that people reduce the proportion of what they bequeath by will to the fourth (of the whole legacy), for Allahs Apostle said, One-third, yet even one third is too much. Narrated Sad: I fell sick and the Prophet paid me a visit. I said to him, O Allahs Apostle! I invoke Allah that He may not let me expire in the land whence I migrated (i.e. Mecca). He said, May Allah give you health and let the people benefit by you. I said, I want to will my property, and I have only one daughter and I want to will half of my property (to be given in charity). He said, Half is too much. I said, Then I will one third. He said, One-third, yet even one-third is too much. (The narrator added, So the people started to will one third of their property and that was Permitted for them.) Narrated Ibn Abbas: The custom (in old days) was that the property of the deceased would be inherited by his offspring; as for the parents (of the deceased), they would inherit by the will of the deceased. Then Allah cancelled from that custom whatever He wished and fixed for the male double the amount inherited by the female, and for each parent a sixth (of the whole legacy) and for the wife an eighth or a fourth and for the husband a half or a fourth. Allah Prescibes the law of Inheritance in Quran ::: 4:11:: Allah prescribes (the following) law (of inheritance) for your children. For male is the equal of the portion of two females; but if they be all females (two or) more than two, for them is two thirds of what he (- the deceased) has left; and if there be only one, for her is the half and for his parents, for each one of the two is a sixth of what he has left, if he (- the deceased) has a child; but if he has no child and his parents only be his heirs, then for the mother is one third (and the rest two thirds is for the father); but if there be (in addition to his parents) his brothers (and sisters) then there is one sixth for the mother after (the payment of) any bequest he may have bequeathed or (still more important) of any debt (- bequests made by the testator and his debts shall however be satisfied first). Your fathers and your children, you do not know which of them deserve better to benefit from you. (This) fixing (of portions) is from Allâh. Surely, Allâh is All-Knowing, All-Wise. 4:12:: And for you is half of that which your wives leave behind, if they have no child; but if they have a child, then for you is one fourth of what they leave behind, after (the payment of) any bequest they may have bequeathed or (still more important) of any (of their) debt. And for them (- your wives) is one fourth of what you leave behind if you have no child; but if you leave a child, then, for them is an eighth of what you leave after (the payment of) any bequest you have bequeathed or (still more important) of any debt. And if there be a man or a woman whose heritage is to be divided and he (or she - the deceased) has no child and he (or she) has (left behind) a brother or a sister then for each one of the twain is a sixth; but if they be more than one then they are (equal) sharers in one third after the payment of any bequest bequeathed or (still more important) of any debt (provided such bequest made by the testator and the debt) shall be without (any intent of) being harmful (to the interests of the heirs). This is an injunction from Allâh, and Allâh is All-Knowing, Most Forbearing. 4:13:: These are the limits (of the law imposed) by Allâh, and who obeys Allâh and His Messenger He will admit them into Gardens served with running streams; therein they shall abide forever; and that is a great achievement. 4:14:: But whoso disobeys Allâh and His Messenger and transgresses the limits imposed by Him He will make him enter Fire where he shall abide long, and for him is a humiliating punishment. Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength. May Allah make it very easy for we all and bless us with halal .keeps us afar from Haram. Increase us in knowledge ,make us doers ( not just listeners and readers) of what He Allah and his Prophet ordered us to ( apply it to ur daily life activity, mostly to stop lies,n to truely obey Allah and his prophet). Allahu Grant us his love n guide us to the right path alwaz till jannatul firdaus Ameeeeeeeeeen
