Assistant Director: Administration POST 31/16 : REF NO: NDOH 79/2014 Chief Directorate: Policy Coordination and Integrated Planning Directorate: Strategic Planning SALARY : R337 998 per annum (plus competitive benefits). CENTRE : Pretoria REQUIREMENTS : A Bachelor’s degree/National diploma/equivalent NQF 6 Certificate in Public administration/Public Management or relevant Administration qualification *At least three (3) years experience in administration at the level of Senior Administration Officer *Experience must include budgeting, Supply Chain Management and relevant HR functions *Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Regulations, Supply Chain Management and basic understanding of Project Management principles *Advanced computer software skills (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Powerpoint), communication (written and verbal), leadership, organizational, interpersonal, analytical, planning, problem solving and report writing skills *Able to work in a team, under pressure and irregular hours *must be willing to travel (sometimes at short notice) *A valid driver’s licence. DUTIES : *Carry out all administrative tasks to support all technical staff members and senior managers in the cluster Support the administrative processes for the development of health sector plans *Collect all Provincial Annual Performance and District Health Plans manage National and provincial plans during the different phases of the health planning process *Assist in proof reading of reports and quality assurance before printing *Collect and update quarterly progress reports *Create and maintain a Health Policy Database *Monitor and evaluate Department’s and public entities performance on a quarterly basis *Carry out all Administrative tasks to support all technical staff members and senior managers in the cluster *Facilitate a process to obtain responses to all Parliamentary questions Coordinate and ensure administrative arrangements for the Strategic Planning Committee *Create and/or maintain an efficient filing system for the cluster *Ensure safekeeping of information and documentations *Financial management *Preparation of budget, analysis of budget and expenditure reports *Ensure effective personnel management for the section *Manage all personnel administration within the section ENQUIRIES : Ms M Wolmarans (012) 395 – 9149 / 8138 CLOSING DATE : 25 August 2014 APPLICATIONS : The Director-General, National Department of Health, Private Bag X828, Pretoria. 0001.
