Assistant Housekeeping Managers work with Housekeeping Managers, overseeing Housekeeping staff in their daily duties. • To perform all duties towards the goal of maximizing guest service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. • Assume the Housekeeping Manager daily duties in their absence. • Assist the Housekeeping Manager in training, disciplining, and evaluating the entire Housekeeping staff. • Help to train and monitor the Housekeeping Office Assistants duties. • Ensure that all safety procedures are being followed and weekly meetings are being held. • Enforce and comply with all Housekeeping standards, policies, and procedures. • Comply with established Housekeeping policies and procedures. • Ensure that adequate supplies (cleaning, guest, and office) are available. • Ensure the cleaning and maintenance of all vacuums and floor machines. • Complete other assignments as required. SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE: • Effective interpersonal and public speaking skills. • Effective organizational skills. • Effective business communication skills. • General office skills, including phone etiquette. • Being capable of self-supervision. • Effective teaching skills. • Willingness to enforce Company and Department policies and procedures. • Knowledge of Housekeeping computer programs. • Knowledge of products used and chemical safety relating to Housekeeping. • Knowledge of vacuum maintenance and general safety practices. • Ability to make prompt, realistic, and fair decisions. • Effective time management skills. • Effective interaction skills for supervision. • Knowledge of Housekeeping operations.
