Assistant Operations Manager Apply before: 15 Apr 2014 Company: Easytrans Tanzania Limited Location > Dar Es Salaam Position Type > Full Time Organization Type > Company Phone: +255 (0) 767 909 166 POSITION DESCRIPTION: As an Assistant Operations Manager, you will be assisting your manager in the smooth operation of the Transport Office, compiling and maintaining documentation and managing information. Ensuring drivers depart on time, processing vital information, issuing journey details and booking staff on and off shift,this is a role as challenging as it is demanding. To succeed, you will need to have strong PC skills and knowledge of transport hours and regulations. Articulate, professional and well organized, your ability to use your initiative and stay on top of several tasks at once will prove invaluable. Key Accountability:- - Communication - Team work - Administration & Process Communication - Debrief the drivers on both departure and return from each journey. - To effectively communicate via telephone to customers and NFT Depots,ensuring incoming calls are answered and dealt with promptly. Team work - To assist management team in providing a professional service - To work well within the transport team functions to ensure deadlines are met Administration & Processes - Generate driver journey sheets from in-house computer systems and issue to drivers. - Produce Reports,such as missing volume, debrief status and unconfirmed orders. - Collate weekly information for Transport auditing purposes. - Support the administration of daily in house pick operations.
