At 12:53 p.m., today, the Taunton Police, Taunton Fire and EMS personnel responded to a reported motorcycle vs. motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Middleboro Avenue, Caswell Street and Pinehill Street. Preliminary investigation shows both vehicles were heading down Middleboro Avenue towards Pinehill Street when the car stopped to make a left hand turn. The motorcycle appears to have attempted to pass the vehicle on the left and was struck as the vehicle turned left. The operator of the motorcycle, a 25 year old woman, was taken by Boston MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital. The crash is under investigation by Lieutenant Paul Roderick, Crash Reconstructionist.
