At 18 years of age, I went through the NZ Police College as a cadet. 23rd Cadet Wing. On Sunday, one of my colleagues from B Section, Vaughan Mead passed away. Aged 53. When we graduated, we joined Section 3 at Wellington Central Police Station. Basically a bunch of scared kids. After 10 years, I left, Vaughan stayed, and was a Senior Sergeant at the time that his cancer forced him to stand down. Thank you Vaughan, rest well. Locky. Constable 7090
