At 333 E. 9th St. stands a building which was a landmark in this city for many years then the company went out of business and the building sit empty for many years. The building is located approx. 5 blocks from the 2nd most photographed Federal Building in the U.S. about 10 blocks from the Regional Arts Center, 6 blocks from the Historic District of Beech St. and 3 blocks from State Line Ave. On May 1, 2012 the building came back to life it now houses approx. 6,000 sq. ft. of local award winning art in all mediums, local wood turning, carvings, photography, locally made jewelry and several other locally made items. We have live music performed by local musicians free to the public also we have poetry written and read by local poets. We have an in store coffee shop dedicated to one of our past artists. We offer classes in the various mediums taught by our local Artisans. We are in partnership with the Arkansas Heritage and Arts Council and recognized by the Arkansas D.O.T. as an attraction to the Texarkana area. If you check the local web sites, publications and signage such as Arts and Historic places and things to do and see in Texarkana. You will notice we do not exist and I am left wondering why?
