At 4:30 this morning I am suddenly jarred from some much needed sleep by shouting from a man in the parking lot where I live. At 1st I am more than irritated..its 4:30 am for heavens sake! Who is this loud, belligerent character raising hell at this time of the morning?? I go to my window to see whats going on and see a man fighting with paramedics..I can only speculate what was going on with him: perhaps mental illness.. substance abuse ..homelessness..maybe a combination of all of those things...I dont really know..As they drive away the irritation I was feeling was replaced by gratitude, as Im glad thats not me. My life can be hard at times but man, I am reminded of all that I have to be grateful for today. Thank you God.
