At Issue - Judgmentalism Luke 6:37–42 With a hunk of wood in your own eye, why would you concern yourself with the speck in someone else’s eye? Yet we spend an embarrassing amount of time doing just that. In our insecurity, we subconsciously think that if we can find faults in others, then we’ll feel better about ourselves. This judgmentalism is the very quality that turns many non-Christians away from the church. We are all weak and need a huge dose of grace—which God freely gives us. Be generous in extending that grace to others, and others will be more likely to extend that same generosity to you.
