At around 12:30 pm on Friday, March 14th, Granny Winkle was taken by ambulance to Selkirk General Hospital with severe pains in her upper/mid back and chest, abdominal pain, severe nausea which developed into vomiting, extreme weakness, chills, cold sweat, low body temperature in the morning (92.1F) and then fever. Having had several episodes of pancreatitis in the past, we initially wondered if that was her ailment. She said it felt very much like it, but a little different. The ER doctor ran numerous tests and ruled out pancreatitis. However, what they turned up instead appeared to be one of the Hepatitis alphabet. They are going to be running tests to confirm and find out precisely which letter it is. The doctor also said that because of all this, she would be in hospital for some time (indeterminate). Whether or not she stays in this hospital is dependent on whether they find an available bed here. We are praying they do, because transportation beyond Selkirk is a problem for us because our vehicle is also in need of an ER. We will post further updates as we can via Facebook. https://facebook/auntie.winkle?ref=tn_tnmn
