At diagnosis in Nov 2012 the cancer marker in my Mums blood was a horrific 8000. After the first course of chemo it had dropped to 23. The cancer came creeping back and shes just changed to a different chemo: we were told it had a one in three chance of working. Her cancer marker was 356 before the first dose and now, after the second dose, it has halved to 170. Excellent news! Meanwhile, she continues to ignore the whole thing as much as possible.
