At last he reached the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all - TopicsExpress

At last he reached the great grey-green, greasy Limpopo River, all set about with fever trees. (Kipling, Elephants Child 1902) And so did I the other day. The first two photos shows the same view over the now dry river where Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa meet. Sundown and sunrise over Mapungubwe. A fantastic but underrated Natural Reserve and a World Heritage Site, just a few hours driving from Waterfall Lodge. Giant winter naked baobab trees scattered amongst the rock formations. I include a few shots of animals I encountered on foot in the game park. (not quite legal) One had bigger ears than I - so I backed down and retreated. Bjarne VM
