At many locations former trolley bus routes can be recognized by the style of the street light poles. Because they supported the overhead wires they were heavier than usual and stepped down above the support point. Here is an example on Archer ave. This is an unusual case as the wire here only extended from the Archer Garage (@ 35th St.) to Kedzie. This was used for pull ins and pull outs for buses operating on 47th and 51st.
