At my church this weekend, you’ll be able to look out in the parking lot and see a few motorcycles, a whole lot of pickups, some cars, and a few SUVs. If you come inside, you’ll find a few ladies in dresses, some guys in slacks and dress shirts, quite a few people in shorts and polos, three or four in biker leathers, and a whole bunch in jeans and t-shirts. If you see somebody in a suit, they’re probably a guest ‘cause they sure aren’t one of our pastors. You’ll see bankers, lawyers, doctors, nurses, ditch-diggers, salesmen, rat-killers, truck drivers, mechanics, secretaries, stay-at-home moms, cosmetologists, firemen, policemen, and people from just about any other line of work you’d care to name. You’ll see these people hug each other, laugh with each other, pray together, cry together, sing along, worship out loud, and dig into the Word of God. Know what you won’t see? Any of them looking down their nose at you for being out of place because you’re the wrong kind of sinner for us. Our building isn’t a stadium for the saints to be entertained. It isn’t a museum for holy art to be showcased. It’s a hospital for sinners to come get better. It’s a place where it’s ok to not be ok. Come join us at Family Life Church, 3900 SW 58th. 5:15 on Saturday, 9:15 or 11 on Sunday.
