At one given occasion in Singapore, one of my fellow-speakers asked, How could you manage dealing with such recruiters? Normally, I would gather all my strength and jump on her, grab her throat and ask, How could ask such stupid questions like that? But heck, no! Gathering enough strength, I replied, You see, recruiters are a formidable group. They blend and adapt to most given situations the government may impose upon them. Youll be surprise how creative they can be, given a fair chance. A good number of them do not see the law as appropriately crafted to favor all parties. Changing them will of course take time. So they tend to do so many things not to corrupt, destroy what is good or even put a burden on anyone, most specially the workers. They do everything they can to survive, to live, to feed their children, send them to school, and still remain to live a decent life. The lady never spoke to me again.
