At one time Austin looked a lot like this....now a century after its annexation into Chicago, this green community still boasts a countryside look...in the 1920s it created Columbus Park with lagoon, rolling hills, and a lavish community center...my own parents settled there in 1926 with the park only a few minutes walk away...thats the whole idea of our vast park & woods network: To allow urban residents to still find nature in their midst
