At the event horizon, time dilation is infinite. Somebody watching from a safe distance as you fall towards the event horizon would see your movements slow down then freeze as time runs infinitely slowly for you compared to the observer. Only in the observers infinite future would you reach the event horizon, so you never actually disappear from view. Your experience, on the other hand, would be hugely dramatic. You cant actually, survive the enormousssssss gravitational forces, but if you did you would eventually encounter what, according to relativity, is a breakdown in the very fabric of space-time. This singularity at the centre of a black hole occurs as the distortion becomes infinite. no idea why did i post this
