At the mercy of the merciless. Wale and Tunde were relaxing under one of the trees within their school premises, then Wale’s attention was caught to one big earthworm moving on the ground at about two meters away from them. Wale: See that big earthworm. Tunde: That’s big. It’s been long I saw a giant earthworm like this. Wale: It reminded me the first time I learned about it in the Elementary Science class. Tunde: Before you remember that, can’t you see where the earthworm is heading to? Wale: What about where it’s heading to? Tunde: Look at you. Can’t you see what am seeing already? Wale: Wahoo! (laughed with pity) Termites! Tunde: It’s about to cross their path. Wale: The merciless termites. Eh! They’ve caught it. Tunde: What an hopeless situation for the helpless earthworm. Wale: Did I hear you say “hopeless situation for the helpless earthworm.”? Tunde: Yes. Can’t you see it’s at the mercy of the merciless termites. Few minutes more, we won’t even see any trace of the earthworm. What a pity. Wale: What you said now reminds me of what my pastor preached on last Sunday. He said we should always ask for God’s mercy because here is where we can enjoy it, but in Hell, there is no mercy. Tunde: My father also used to talk about hell. Wale: You see the way that earthworm fell into the hand of those termites. You know that even if the earthworm could plea for mercy, those termites wouldn’t have listened because all they know how to do is to devour their victims. Tunde: That’s true. It’s highly disastrous to be at the mercy of the merciless. Wale: And that’s why you and I and any one that loves his life must do everything possible to make heaven, where Christ is. Hell! The dwelling place of the merciless devil and co. Tunde: That serious. You’re beginning to scare me, Wale. Wale: I didn’t mean to scare you. At least we both saw how those termites devoured that earthworm mercilessly, because that is all they know must be done to their victims. Look at the spot again. Tunde: There’s not even a sign or trace of the earthworm any more. Wale: You see what I mean? And likewise is the devil and his demons, all they know must be done to any soul that didn’t make heaven is to torment such soul. Tunde. Tunde: Am all hears. Wale: Any one that does not have Jesus as his Lord and Saviour is lost already. Tunde: That’s true. Wale: My greatest headache now is even those of us that claim to know Him as our Lord and Saviour but are not living our lives for Him. Tunde: Wale, I think the best thing for me as a person to do for now and always is to always depend on His grace and to give more room for His corrections in my heart. Wale: That’s what I need too and I pray that God will help us all. Tunde: Amen. HELL IS NOT WHERE YOUR SOUL BELONGS PROVIDED YOU HOLD ON TO JESUS CHRIST TO THE VERY END. YOU CAN AVOID TO LIVE YOUR ETERNITY AT THE MERCY OF THE MERCILESS HELL IF YOU STAY IN CHRIST OBEDIENTLY. REMEMBER, JESUS IS COMING SOON, EVEN RIGHT AWAY AND SO BE PREPARED!!!
