Atheist scientists like Stephen Hawking have a brilliant explanation for the fine-tuning of our universe, tuning so fine that if even one of about a hundred values were off even by less than one percent, life on earth could not exist. Their explanation: ours is but one of trillions of universes, and there was bound to be one fine-tuned such as ours. This is not their best answer. It is their ONLY answer. It is in fact the only answer there could be if you first rule out an eternal Creator. Never mind that there is not any evidence whatsoever that there are any universes but this one. So as the atheists congratulate themselves for coming up with a theory to explain fine-tuning, they ignore the fact that this theory now requires them to explain how not one, but trillions of universes created themselves out of nothing.
