Attached is a link to a Washington Post story about Native Youth suicides in Indian country. Read it. Pay attention to the numbers. Consider historical trauma as a reality, not just an abstract. Imagine being a child growing up on a reservation in South Dakota, or New Mexico, or in a rural Indian community in Oklahoma. So many of the issues I have seen, and known families that have suffered.
