Attached is an invitation that was sent to all of the media and candidates who are running for the 2014 elections. This is an opportunity for each candidate to present their platforms and answer any questions that some of the constituents may have. Here are a few questions I have about this. Passes - I have just been informed that should some candidates want to invite people from their ward to this event, the candidates must provide the names and phone numbers of the people to Mrs. Gareau. Her brother, Denis Gareau would then provide these people with a pass to enter. There are very few passes left by the way. This is suppose to be a public meeting so why are passes involved. Shouldnt it be, whoever arrives first has priority until they reach the maximum capacity. Or is this some kind of screening mechanism? Replacement of a candidate - if a candidate is not available to present their platform that evening, the only people who can replace them is their son or their daughter. FOCUS - This invitation was sent to the Focus as well as Mrs. Riopel who is also running in ward 6. So what role will she be playing that evening? Mrs. Gareau says in one of her documents: Jexige que tous et toutes aient droit au respect de la part de tous et toutes personnes/contibuables (typo), le 15 octobre prochain. Respect goes both ways and there has been a lack of respect from the mayor and Mrs. Riopel to the councillors as well as the residents so this statement is a contradictory in my opinion. Nobody has forgotten clowns, hillbillies, thugs, dirty dozen, etc.
