Attention FB friends: We are working on a Rochester Magazine story called Reimagining Rochester. It will explore things big and small that would make Rochester a more vibrant, fun and colorful place to be. Examples: New paint paint trim on Cascade District or High Falls buildings in the style of Neal’s Yard Covent Garden. Or a restaurant/bar with a ferris wheel, a la Betty Dangers in Minneapolis. The restaurants website calls the wheel a vertically revolving patio featuring open-air carts where you can dine and drink as you rotate around. And yes, the wheel operates in the wintertime, offering warm, comforting beverages and blankets, kind of like a sleigh ride in the air. What sorts of things have you seen elsewhere that you wish were available here? Or do you have a thoroughly original idea for Rochester? Please share it. It doesnt have to be practical or approved by some government board. This is a wish list. The sky is the limit. So go crazy, and post your comment below.
