Attention all, for the hill event on Sunday 1st December 2013 there will be a cut off on how many members can take part. This is due to the mountain leader ratios that must be adhered to for legal purposes as well as safety. There will be 3 teams of 12 members, one team of blues, one of reds and one of greens. This means first come first serve, if there are more that what’s needed to fill the teams then names will be drawn. Each group will have a mountain leader (ML) and an Instructor that will guide them team along the route, the group will work as a team and support each other and aim to get to the check points as quickly as possible. Once at the check points each group will be asked a set amount of questions, if you get a question wrong, you get an exercise of the instructor’s choice as well as repetitions or time added onto your (overall finishing time). Once this has been completed the group will move off together to the next check point and so on. The weight has changed for all groups to be carried, and includes a MANDATORY KIT LIST that must be filled out and brought on the day signed, NO FORM OR MANDATORY KIT WILL RESULT IN YOU NOT PARTICEPATING. NO EXCEPTIONS!! The weight for each group is as follows (Remember you will be running as well as walking: Blues – 8kg Reds – 11kg Greens – 14kg Those who have confirmed they are coming thru facebook have been placed on the list already, however you still need to respond by putting in the comments box below, your email address and bib colour. Anyone else who wants to enter must do so promptly and respond to this post by saying (I’m going followed by your own email address and bib colour) this is so I can send you your forms. One email address per person only please. If a friend has already said they would like to come but don’t have facebook, you must say so in the comments along with their email as well as your own plus bib colours. If you are successful but your friend/friends are not, don’t pull out. This will cause problems for all staff and members. They will get another chance sometime next year if it is successful and we get more (ML). DONT FORGET TO SAY WHAT BIB COLOUR YOU REALLY ARE OR WE WILL PUT YOU IN A GROUP! Only 12 to a group I’m afraid. Location: Campsie Fells, Crow road car park on B822 (Just past Campsie Golf Club) Times: 11:00am – all members must be at car park with full kit, form signed and ready for brief. 1120am – Blues start off ahead of other groups with leaders 1130am – Reds set off with leaders 1140am – Greens set off with leaders 1400pm – Is the latest all groups should take to finish *This is only open to members only, no family or friends can be present!*
