Attention all incoming students! Action needed! The Convenor of our first year module A Critical Introduction to Law, Mairead Enright, would like you to think and post about law in popular culture in preparation for Welcome Week: In Induction Week, I will be giving you a lecture introducing the critical law school. In this lecture, I would like us to think a bit about how lawyers are represented in popular culture, and how these representations influence our understanding of what lawyers do. Please reply to this comment with the name of your favourite fictional lawyer or judge (from tv, film, literature, graphic novels, theatre etc). There are no special criteria - just pick your favourite. If you like, you can say why you like the character, and you can respond to others suggestions. You can post a link to eg a youtube clip of your favourite fictional lawyer in action. (My favourite tv lawyer is Kavanagh QC - the original Martha Costello).
