Attention fellow film fans: Do yourselves the favor and see this movie. It is such a moving true story and character study that brings a different light to the AIDS epidemic in the 80s than Ive seen before. I am not a Matthew McConaughey fan at all, but his performance here is nothing but brilliant. Not only did he loose a massive amount of weight for the role (looking as jarring as Bale in The Machinist) but his performance of one of the best written anti-heros of recent years is nothing short of amazing. Jared Leto also steals scenes with his performance. A performance that still has me shaken and moved hours after witnessing it. Both Leto and McConaughey deserve nominations and wins for their work, as does the script and make-up. See this movie. You wont regret it.
