Attention residents of Hill Top and Colo Vale: The RFS have advised us that they intend to undertake hazard reduction burns in these villages later this week. The Colo Vale burn will occur at 7 and 9 Drapers Rd over the weekend (9 – 10 August) starting at around 10am. The Hill Top burn will occur at the rear of properties along Cumberteen Street from Friday until Sunday (8 – 10 August) also starting at around 10am. Please take the usual precautions including keeping doors and windows closed, removing washing, reducing your outdoor activities if you suffer from asthma/lung condition, protecting pets and outdoor furniture and driving to the conditions. Please contact the District Officer at Southern Highlands RFS on 4868 5500 for further information, or visit rfs.nsw.gov.au for details about hazard reduction burns and preparing your property for the upcoming bush fire season.
