Attn: game lovers and book lovers! My awesome brother Matthew (a professional game designer) recently designed a game thats fun, easy to learn, and appropriate for a wide range of players. Best of all, Bring Your Own Book requires only a small deck of cards (which you can download for FREE at the link below) and the books on your shelf! If youll be gathering with a bunch of people this holiday season, might I recommend you bring a deck with you? I guarantee its a good time and even the non-bookish among you will enjoy. (Short summary: Every player grabs a book off the shelf and in each round must very quickly select a line from it that could fit the chosen category, such as a line from a country music song or advice for graduating seniors. Its sort of like a funnier, brainier (but not off-puttingly cerebral) Apples to Apples in which your red cards are the words in the book youre holding.)
