Aug 5 **COSI*** SAD UPDATE This beautiful kitty has ONLY UNTIL Aug 14 to find a HOME... We are told that she will be euthanized at that time...Foster CANNOT HOLD COSI beyond that date...PERIOD! I have NO FURTHER Information... Contact Patty Burkhart or peetieb@aol. Cosi, a... 3-4 year old female kitty needs a loving HOME with a very cat experienced person. She is a Storm Sandy survivor and has been severely traumatized. She loves human company, will run up to you and rub against you, will even rub against an outstretched hand/finger, but will not tolerate any petting or handling. She loves to play, which is how I have tried to get her to allow some petting, but if not fast enough, she will grab and bite. Cosi is FIV/FeLV negative, full blood done showed no sign of thyroid, kidney or other major issues. Her teeth are in good shape. Two vets told me she was definitely an indoor cat. She was already spayed when rescued and had no ear tip so not part of any feral colony. She is a beautiful cat who deserves a chance to heal again. I will not put Cosi in a barn, shelter or sanctuary - those settings will only further traumatize her. I saved Cosi back in April. She was with a foster mommy who worked with her for two months, but could not keep her any longer and she is now in my garage. I cannot keep her beyond 8/14. It is a hard deadline.
