August 3 The 100th Anniversary of the Confederate Monument Friends of the Confederate Monument will be honoring and celebrating those Confederate soldiers who gave their all serving to defend our Southland. 100 years after the original dedication of the Confederate monument that now stands in Fort Payne City Park. Commemorative bricks can now be purchased and laser-engraved with the name of the soldier of your choice and his unit and will be placed at the base of the monument. Will be at Fort Payne City Park from noon to 2 p.m. Cost is $50 now or $75 after August 3rd. Please email inquiries to [email protected].
