August 6th is designated as National Night Out. It is a night to fight back against crime in your neighborhood. I encourage you to get out and meet your neighbors.... introduce yourself and remind folks that we need to watch out for each other in our community. We have had a lot of new people move to DeSoto and we need to be neighborly - show them why we are an All-American City!! I have always said "if" times got tough, it is our neighbors that we need to be there to help out. It is a great time to meet with our outstanding Police Officers to make sure we are able to always come together as a community to say..."criminals-oh no-not in my backyard!" God Bless!!
