Aurora Remembrance Event One year ago this weekend, a lone gunman entered an Aurora theater and in less than two minutes wiped out the lives of twelve and seriously injured many more. On Friday, we will join with others in remembering the Aurora victims and all victims of the sense- less gun violence that plagues our nation. Please join with us at the press conference at noon, or come at any time to listen to the litany of lost lives. Smokey Hill Shelter Cherry Creek State Park (East Entrance) 4201 S. Parker Road, Aurora, Colorado 80014 Friday, July 19th Press Conference Time: 12:00 p.m. NOON MT Because of parking issues, it is recommended that you arrive as early as 11:00 a.m. Even as inappropriate as it is, there may be protesters present. Please pass them by. Reading of names of gun violence victims will follow the press conference and will continue until a moment of silence at 12:38 a.m. MT (Saturday morning), when the shooting occurred.
