#Auspol Boost in Education Funding for Western Sydney Palmer United Party candidate for Fowler, Brad Pastoors, has welcomed the increased funding and reforms for education announced by the Federal Leader of the Palmer United Party, Clive Palmer. The Palmer United Party’s education platform will see an extra $20billion in education funding to raise Australian education standards. The education reforms will also see a focus on reduced class sizes, a uniformed Australia-wide curriculum, more teachers and better pay opportunities. After recently becoming a father, Mr Pastoors understands more than ever the importance of building a quality education system now for the future. “Education is the most important investment for the future of our nation and our children.” Mr Pastoors said. The funding will be paid directly to the schools who know what their needs are, rather than administered by the states. This will assist in raising our education standards across primary and secondary schools in both government and independent sectors. “These reforms will see more teachers in our schools with reduced class sizes to a maximum of 30. This will assist in getting the most out of our teachers to develop the learning’s of quality students. I will be supporting Mr Palmer and ensuring that sufficient funding is directed to the schools that need it most in Western Sydney.” Mr Pastoors said. Other education reforms proposed by the Palmer United Party include making private school fees tax deductable. “This is a great step towards supporting parents with students in independent schools. These parents pay taxes to support education as well as school fees. There should be more effort to support them and make private schooling more feasible to the wider community”. “It’s about time we had a government that truly understands the need for better education and has ability to deliver and manage reform to achieve the desired result. Bright kids for a bright future.”
