Austen the little cutie Foxie would like to share his story .... Hi Im Austen. I was a resident of Hawkesbury pound last week -- waiting there – a bloke like me could get overlooked cause Im just a little guy ya know -- 2.5 kg at my last weigh-in. I could do with some tasty meals as there hasnt been a lot coming my way lately. I expect I am going to family who will feed me well. Yum -- I cant wait. Oh hang on -- Mel told me I had to tell you why I am a hero and why Im wearing this here medal. Well its because last week at Hawkesbury Pound there was an overcrowding problem. So the Pound Rounds team decided to take me and Jack the Maltese out and find homes for us— well Jack he’s ok ‘cause he’s got good teeth ‘n he’d already had his snip — ya know what I mean, years ago. Today I had my vet work done -- I had my little op—‘cos ya know I dont want to be a dad -- that wouldnt be good and I had to have half me teeth out. Well ya know thats what happens to us dogs when we dont get fed right. We need a raw meat diet with lots of bones. I wont be eating bones for a while as me mouth is too sore. But Ill get there. You just watch me! Im a battler and I have this here medal now--and I have all you lovely people reading my story. Oh and could you spare a bloke a few bucks cause the Pound Rounds team had to pay the vet $350 today for the work he did. Nice bloke that vet.
