I am not surprised..She is a star…I discovered her by accident as I lifted a linen covering a crate. Her friendly face seemed to ask me: what can I do for you? This was Phoebe laying calmly on a blankie..What can …I…do for… You, sweetheart ? What a lovely dog! Calm, poised, well mannered and although emaciated and hungry, Phoebe takes roast beef politely from my hand. Phoebe is a beautiful large dog who should weigh at least 15 pounds more. Her coat is well groomed and her facial markings are very attractive framing lively but sweet clear chestnut eyes. She is majestic and just imagine what a work of art she will be, well fed, cared for and loved. Phoebe walks beautifully on the leash. She is very much house trained. She meets other dogs in a very peaceful way, even the little ones. She can sit on command and for treats. She welcomes everyone coming to say hello with a happy tail… Phoebe is really a dream girl. I hope I have convinced you…Come and meet our very special gem at the Manhattan Care Center. She is the one…..really..I know.. A Volunteer Wrote: Love, love, love love love. Love! OK, you want details. She is gorgeous, but way too thin, but wow is she gorgeous. She didnt do fantastically on the food part of her SAFER, but very likely she hasnt had a regular meal in a long time. And yet: She is so gentle. She is so calm. She walks so beautifully on a leash, she wags her tail nonstop, she appears house trained, and boy does she seem to love dogs. Boy does she love people. And boy do we love her. A gorgeous mastiff mix looking for a good meal and a happy home…surely that cant be such a difficult thing for such a winning, wonderful girl!
