Aw, what a whiner. Heres an idea for Mr. Singleton. Do what others have done when the studios wouldnt produce their movies. Instead of whining about it, raise the money and produce it yourself. Mr. Singleton isnt exactly broke. Hes worth $50 million. He can do what Mel Gibson did when the studios wouldnt back his movie. Gibson risked his personal fortune and made the movie himself. Singleton can do what Roma Downey and Mark Burnett did when the studios wouldnt back their movie Son of God. They raised the money and produced it themselves. He can do what the producers of Atlas Shrugged did when no studio would touch their movie. What did they do? You guessed it, raised the money and produced it themselves. Its real simple. If Mr. Singleton believes there is a market for the movies that the studios wont back then he is free to risk his own money and make the movies. If he is correct he will get to keep all the profits for himself. In essence he can put his money where his mouth is like so many other successful people before him.
