Awarding Diplomas to Eligible Veterans Milford School District - TopicsExpress

Awarding Diplomas to Eligible Veterans Milford School District will continue its tradition of awarding high school diplomas to veterans who did not earn a diploma because their education at Milford High School was interrupted to serve their country in times of war. It is the sixth year that the district has recognized veterans by awarding diplomas. Honored veterans will receive their diplomas at the Milford Exempted Village School Board of Education meeting on Thursday, November 21, at Boyd E. Smith Elementary, 1052 Jer-Les Drive, at 7 p.m. In addition to the awarding of diplomas, all veterans are invited to come to the meeting in uniform and the Board will recognize them at the beginning of the meeting. Building principals and student representatives will also be donating boxes filled with supplies to Troop Box Ministry who will be sending them to active soldiers. If you are a veteran or know of a veteran who did not earn his or her diploma because of being in the armed service, please contact the Milford Board of Education Office, at 831-1314, by Friday, November 15, 2013.
