Im sitting at home, frantically EFTing money to a college who refuses to allow the son of a single mum to obtain his results until he starts to alleviate his debt which is sitting at R32 000+. Then there was the woman who attends weekly classes for converts whose entire family converted a few years ago, who came to the office for money to buy margarine. They are in over a hundred thousand rand worth of debt. And yesterday there was the muezzin who cant gain entry for his third child into an Islamic school, because R27500 (R22500 due to the generosity of a donor) is still outstanding on his other childrens accounts. And theres our friend Thami, settled at Unisa, producing excellent results, now relocated from an informal settlement to the backyard of a pastor (thanks again to a donor), now getting us quotes so he can have a toilet.
